Canopus is a Shadow. He even transformed into a horrifying Shadowy abomination.
On the bright side: Sirius managed to talk him down.
On the not-so-bright side: He still went on a goddamn rampage first, which included putting a complete stranger in MORTAL PERIL.
So right now he's on the roof of the dorms, playing with all the birds he got Sirius as a gift. Or. Well. Looking at them, anyway.
He's got a lot to think about, and not much reason to want to interact with anybody.
